SUMMARY:Cherokee Triangle Art Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Cherokee Triangle Art Fair is a juried fair with more than 200 artists’ booths. The two-day event is free and open to the public. The Art Fair is held in Louisville’s historic Cherokee Triangle neighborhood on tree-lined Cherokee Parkway between Willow Avenue and Cherokee Road. The neighbors are friendly and welcoming as they celebrate spring with old and new friends alike. The Art Fair began in 1972 and has been one of the area’s favorite events ever since. \nIn addition to a high-quality and diverse selection of art\,  patrons of the fair can enjoy food\, drink\, and entertainment. The popular Children’s Parade kicks off the event each year at 10:00 a.m.\, and all kids are welcome to participate in this joyful\, themed march. Other attractions include the Cherokee Triangle Association booth with offerings of Cherokee Triangle branded merchandise and apparel\, and the KMAC children’s art tent for fun\, hands-on activities for the kiddos throughout the weekend. \nEnjoy art show between 10:00am – 6:00pm

This family-friendly annual event showcases some of the nation’s finest marching bands and equestrian units\, along with inflatable characters and colorful floats. \nThe parade marches west on Broadway for 17 blocks and lasts approximately two hours. \nOriginating in 1956 on a budget of only $640\, the Pegasus Parade is the Kentucky Derby Festival’s oldest event. Today\, the Pegasus Parade is one of the largest in the country\, contributing an estimated impact of more than $22 million to the local economy. \n\n\nThe 2026 theme is “Festival on the Move: A Year of Milestones\, Memories and Movement!” \nThe theme honors the journey that connects us all through movement\, celebrating our country’s history\, our community\, and the Derby Festival spirit!
