DESCRIPTION:1:00pm-4:00pm \nCome to Jefferson Memorial Forest to try the new Elevated Tree Course (ETC) with your family! Our course is built in the pines of the Horine section to serve as an introduction to tree canopy tours. With platforms elevated 12’ off the ground\, this course can introduce kids and adults who have never tried a tree canopy tour to the excitement and fun without the fear of heights! The course finishes with a 170’ long slow zipline. While anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult\, we encourage all first-time adults and kids to come with a family to have a support group to share in the experience and encourage one another. All safety equipment and instruction will be provided. Since this tree course employs belay safety systems\, participant size requirements are necessary for proper operation and comfort; participants must be at least 42” tall and 45 lbs.\, additionally participants cannot exceed 265 lbs. and/ or 75” tall. If you have questions regarding participant requirements\, please contact our program department prior to the program date at 502-366-5432.
