Substitute Instructor I
The following position will require 48 college hours or passing score on the Kentucky Para-Educator Assessment.
Hourly Rate: $14.93 (no benefits)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Passing score on the Kentucky Para-Educator Assessment or 48 college hours
  • Successful teaching experience
  • Experience in working with children and parents with special needs, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic backgrounds
  • Program specific certifications/training

Substitute Instructor II
Job Description
Hourly Rate: $15.56 (no benefits)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or approved equivalent training (64 college semester hours) and experience
  • One (1) year successful teaching experience
  • Experience in working with children and parents with special needs, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic backgrounds
  • Program specific certifications/training

Substitute Instructor III
Job Description
Hourly Rate: $16.90 (no benefits)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three (3) years successful teaching experience
  • Experience in working with children and parents with special needs, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic backgrounds
  • Program specific certifications/training
The following items are required in order to approve all applicants for hire:
 
– Criminal Records Check (instructions for CRC will be sent by JCPS Substittute Center)
– Child Abuse & Neglect Check (instructions for CAN will be sent by JCPS Substittute Center)
– TB Test Results (within 1 year)
– Physical (within 1 year)
– Official Transcripts or High School Diploma
