Are you interested in generating and maintaining detailed production plans for locally and remotely manufactured items? We are looking for a service oriented, self-directed and pro-active Production Planner to join our team in the world leading industrial coating resins company. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the production schedule supporting the Louisville site.
Generate and maintain detailed production plans items.
Monitor the open orders to ensure customer commitments will be met.
Liaise closely with Production teams, third party service providers and vendors to ensure compliance with the plan.
Working with site production teams ensuring compliance to production schedule, and on time delivery.
Schedule and coordinate supplementary out-sourcing of resale material to cover shortfalls in local manufacturing capability.
Work with planning lead and respective product line manager(s) to ensure balance between of stocking policies, standard order quantities and working capital targets. .
Keep machine hours updated in ERP system.
Track conformance to a schedule, highlight issues and work with production personnel to resolve.
Prepare and conduct monthly supply review of the site.
Support and comply with all requirements of Louisville Safety Guidelines, including all required training.
Required skills and experience
2 years of planning/manufacturing experience or equivalent experience.
Must have knowledge of various computer software packages such as Microsoft office
Must be proficient in SAP material management module, production scheduling, inventory management, forecasting
Must have the ability to communicate effectively both written and orally with customers and operations management and exercise good judgment in resolving conflicts and addressing customer requests.
Good problem solving skills.
2- or 4-year degree in planning or Supply Chain Management.
APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP).
