MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoots, repairs, and ensure proper operation of electronic (including PLC controlled) machinery and equipment. Complete disassembly and reassembly of complex equipment required. Must have ability to troubleshoot and remedy mechanical and electronic issues. Identifies problems to minimize down time and recommend solutions. Installs new equipment, and validates performance of equipment. Performs preventive, predictive and critical maintenance on production machines following schematics, assembly drawings, data sheets, and process sheets to perform testing and trouble-shooting equipment. Assists in the design and fabrication of both mechanical and electronic modifications to existing machinery. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies; places and expedites orders; verifying receipt. Other duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, TOOLS, AND WORK AIDS:
Experienced in use of digital and analog voltmeters, oscilloscopes, micrometers, Vernier calipers, and various rules and measuring devices. Solid experience with use of circuit board soldering equipment, crimp and wiring tools. Previous use of computer-based test equipment a plus.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or related field; 5 years’ equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance is necessary. Must also be able to follow detailed instructions. Standing, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs. or more occasionally, climbing, grasping. Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software.
New Hire Rate: $20.80 After 45 days worked: $21.80
Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday
7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday (with every other Friday off)
