TITLE:   Senior Manager of Corporate Relations
DEPARTMENT:   Development Department
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
HOURS:   40/week
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:   Local travel 25% – 30% of total work time
SALARY: (based on experience)
REPORTS TO:   Chief Development Officer
TERRITORY COVERED:   Louisville/ Southern Indiana

Position Summary
The Sr. Manager of Corporate Relations is responsible for leading and fulfilling all aspects of corporate and employee engagement partnerships and campaigns. The position will establish, grow, and strengthen relationships with employers and internal influencers to maximize corporate and employee community involvement (recruiting mentors and volunteers) and giving (corporate support, in-kind, and company matches). This position will work with the Director of Development, Director of Community Outreach, and the Director of Grants to navigate the most efficient and effective to create and build donor relationships and meet funding goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and implements annual and long-range plans for a portfolio to include levels of participation, giving, and engagement for corporate partners, resulting in corporate giving growth, in both dollars and volunteers.
Works with community outreach, grants, and development leadership and executive staff to establish and execute customized corporate and employee engagement strategies for portfolio of donors.
Prioritizes and balances annual funding needs with emerging priorities, including special campaigns, annual fundraising events, and other initiatives.
Grows prospective corporate partners while maintaining and growing current corporate partners.
Champions Relationship Management approach through personal actions and use of company software including Salesforce/Matchforce, Grant Hub, Double the donation, Qgiv, Constant Contact, and OneCause.
Acts as an ambassador for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana, representing the agency and undertaking public speaking at external events, including a wide variety of networking events.
Supports the development team with maintaining online fundraising platforms, social media feeds, and associated communication tools.
Maintains overall understanding of relationship cultivation; research, engagement, touch points, timely responses and follow up, tracking outcomes, written and/or oral proposals/asks, etc.
Provides support to other departments and corporate priorities, as needed, e.g. Strategic Plan, annual budget, special initiatives, recruitment, board, etc.
Develops and maintains strong working relationships with other departments within Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana.
Able to create opportunities for our corporate partners in tandem with BBBSKY program team.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Includes, formal and informal oral communication skills: face-to-face; on the telephone; and in formal presentations.
Excellent organizational skills, including ability to work on own initiative and to effectively manage and prioritize workload.
Must work well under pressure, be flexible, creative, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable of the community and possess a high energy level.
Professionally supportive of corporate missions, all BBBS policies, procedures, functions, departments, divisions, managers and staff etc.
Able to present a strategy or plan -in writing- and execute the approved plan.
Excellent Ability to initiate and develop relationships with a variety of different people.
Maintains security and confidentiality of all division documents and files.
Computer Skills – Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Salesforce and OneCause experience a plus.

Education and Related Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in humanities, business, finance, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years professional experience in managing annual fundraising campaigns and one-on-one solicitations.
Experience maintaining and growing corporate partnerships/relationships.
Additional successful experience in funds development including, proposal writing, prospect research, volunteer management, annual giving campaigns, capital campaigns, and donor cultivation and recognition.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This is a routine office environment. Work hours are varied and can include evenings and weekends to meet customer needs. Travel required to local communities, event locations and businesses.  A vehicle, valid driver’s license, and minimum state required automobile insurance are required in this position.  This position is an in-person, in office position.
