HR Affiliates is assisting our client with filling a temporary Accounting Clerk for a 30 to 60 day assignment.

Position Summary:
Responsibilities include organizing and coordinating office administration and procedures, ensuring organizational effectiveness and efficiency, keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. You will run accounting software programs (e.g. QuickBooks) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts, invoice entry, payables entry, purchase orders, customer interactions and act as a liaison between our firm and ARGI Financial. A successful candidate should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers. Ultimately, a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

Provide general support to visitors
Facilitate customer inquiries and complaints
Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
Enter key data of financial transactions in database daily
Provide assistance and support to company personnel
Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
Other administrative duties; e.g. answering phones, filing, scheduling, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Work Requirements:
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting procedures and principles.
Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information.
High level of accuracy and efficiency.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Courteous, professional manner, strong customer service skills.
Computer literacy and strong typing skills, experience with accounting software may be required.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to comply with all company, local, state, and federal financial regulations.

Associates Degree in Applied Science in Accounting. Preferred one-year previous accounting position or equivalent role.
