We are looking for a new HR Consultant to join our already amazing team.

Working directly with clients, the HR Consultant provides HR support in a number of ways – you may be integrated directly with a client as their embedded “HR Manager”, you may serve in a coaching and leadership capacity to their management team, or you may work behind the scenes providing full HR administrative and management support to their business operations. As an HR Consultant you may also be working directly with client leadership to influence and direct HR processes and new initiatives. Or all of the above. Regardless of your role with a client, you will have the full HR Affiliates team of Senior Consultants, HR Consultants, Benefits Administration, Payroll, and Recruiting collaborating with you and supporting you.  This role serves as the first point of contact for a majority of employee related issues for employees, supervisors and leaders (usually high frequency, low severity issues).

Our HR Consultants are on the front line and are the face of HR to our clients.  You will have responsibilities in the following HR areas:
Employee Relations
Performance Management
New Hire Onboarding
Policy Development and Implementation
Employment Law Compliance

Other HR Consultant Functions:
Develops an effective partnership with line business clients through consultation on human resources operational issues.
Build positive long-lasting relationships with clients and deliver ridiculously great client service.
Collaborate with Senior HR Consultant on HR program for client, providing updates on status of client initiatives regularly and working together to proactively plan programs.
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws that impact HR.
Collaborates with management and employees to identify and resolve issues that achieve a balance between business needs and employee needs and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Development of necessary policies and practices to ensure that they are consistent with overall corporate direction and in support of customer group plans.
Spends time coaching and giving feedback to employees and management.
Provides advice and guidance on employee relations issues, progressive discipline and documentation requirements to management.
Ensures that appropriate human resource systems are in place to attract, select, reward talent.
Deliver HR related training to clients, i.e.: Performance Management, Sexual Harassment, Managing a Diverse Workforce, etc.
Oversee and assist in recruitment, selection and on-boarding of new hires on behalf of clients
Offers third party administration to benefits programs such as life, health, dental and vision insurance, 401K plan, PTO, leave of absence and employee assistance for external clients, if required.
Suggest and support new HR technology solutions to improve day-to-day operations.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or HR, or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years HR Generalist experience, or demonstrated HR duties in a non-HR role
PHR/SPHR or equivalent preferred
Knowledge of local, state, and federal, or regional, employment laws
Strong knowledge and understanding of HR processes and systems
Proactively and consistently deliver results to our clients
Must have client service mindset with focus on quality, timeliness, responsiveness, and engagement
Ability to work independently within a very collaborative work environment
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Strong problem-solving and analysis skills
Must be able to engage and develop relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization
Must communicate a high level of trust to become an advisor to business leaders and managers
Must have solid experience in driving positive employee relations, including strong problem solving and effective coaching skills
Good judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Ability to persuade and influence others at all levels in the organization
Must self-motivated and able to effectively work independently with minimal supervision
Superior time management skills.
High aptitude and excellent independent judgement
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, high volume work environment
Highly approachable with a customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills along with the ability to present, train and facilitate
Ability to adapt to change in job duties and client needs
Computer and math skills are required (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), experience with Microsoft Teams suite and environment a plus
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
Flexible, hybrid work environment – 30 hours/week
Most consultants work a divided schedule from office, home office, and client workspace
Personal and career growth working for different industries and with other HR industry leaders and mentors within HR Affiliates
Collaborative work teams: Every client is assigned a Senior HR Consultant and an HR Consultant, and also works with our Recruiting Team and HR Consultant/Benefits Administration Team.
Work hours can be full time or three quarter time
