The Chaplain is appointed by and reports directly to the President of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. The Chaplain will work closely with the Office of Enrollment and Student Success for internal mission and the Office of Advancement for external relations. The Chaplain is charged with providing support, pastoral care, and guidance to LPTS students, non-instructional staff, and faculty. The Chaplain is expected to support effort to build a positive, safe, hospitable, and just campus community. The Chaplain will assist students, faculty and staff with the weekly chapel services on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the academic year. The external mission of the office of the Chaplain is to steward relationships with congregations and denominational partners, promote ecumenical, interfaith, and community relations, on and beyond the campus, and to champion the overall efforts of LPTS to share the “Whosoever” vision with prospective students, stakeholders and alums.
