Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Transit Authority of River City (TARC) is seeking a professional, energetic and detail-oriented employee.  Responsibilities include Preparing and Analyzing Financial Documents/Reports, Accounting Functions and Supervision of Staff Accountant I and Accounts Receivable personnel.

Duties Include:

Supervise Staff Accountant I and Accounts Receivable Personnel
Perform Accounting Functions (journal entries, budgets, financial reports, etc)
Monitor Fixed Assets and Physical Inventory
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field; or any combination of training, education and experience in payroll, bookkeeping or accounting may be substituted when competency in the position is demonstrated.
Two to three years of experience in an accounting role with three years of supervisory experience in financial systems, budget, financial reporting, financial data analysis and auditing.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles.  Knowledge of accounting practice and principles, applicable laws, codes and regulations, experience in accounting computer applications.
Excellent time management skills and organizational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and timelines
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Must be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
Excellent analytical and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) are essential; Excel proficiency required.
Experience and proficiency using G/L software.
Payroll and data analytics (statistical analysis) experience preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate analytical reasoning, critical thinking, as well as a high level of customer orientation.

Attention to detail
Successful performance of pre-employment test required.
