Fare Media Coordinator

Responsible for the daily fare box deposit, control of the fare media inventory and some accounting.

Ensure accuracy of fare box deposits
Monitor armored car vendor’s transporting and processing of daily revenue deposit
Randomly audit four fare boxes twice each month
Count cash and coin, along with comparing against totals on Cash Box Audit Report
Verify accuracy of Network Manager reports of coin and currently counts
Prepare and distribute deposit-related reports
Manage partner pass sales by receiving orders and ensure properly filled
Analyze and record partner orders, returns and payments, and prepare reports regarding sales
Ensure that adequate quantity of Partner passes are on hand
Handle partners regarding orders
Manage smart card inventory while also loading inventory into Genfare link, tracking and issuing inventory to organizations and ensuring that adequate quantity of smart cards are available
Manage Cashier’s office by resolving problems and issues that arise with customers and office supplies
Work with departments relating to Network Manager reports and Stat report and work with Transportation when we have Special Events.
Perform general accounting functions by gathering stat report data, preparing daily deposits, prepare and code cash log spreadsheet for month-end
Prepare various bank and GL reconciliations and record and collect NSF checks
Prepare farebox, armored car deposit, grant/warrants and NSF entries monthly
Backup for transportation payroll & deposits
Update procedures when necessary
Perform Other duties as assigned

College degree or equivalent
Five (5) years of experience in supervision of cash handling operations
Must be bondable
Good communication and interpersonal skills
High degree of computer skills and familiarity with office software applications and office equipment, procurement systems and financial software
High level of communications to find solutions to complex accounting problems.
Must be well organized and have strong administrative skills.
Successful performance on pre-employment tests.
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the above stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

Much of the work is performed in a moderately noisy office setting, with frequent interruptions and a varied work day. Work may require some level of mobility including lifting or moving materials. The Employee will be exposed to dust, orders, diesel fumes and/or airborne particles.
