Rainbow Blossom was started in 1977 by Rob and Pumpkin Auerbach and is managed today by their daughter Summer Auerbach. We are so proud to have been a thriving part our Louisville community for so many years!

The core duty of a Grab & Go Cook is to prepare Grab & Go menu items to ship to the stores, while observing all food safety and quality control guidelines.

This position reports directly to the Grab & Go Lead Cook. This is either a full-time or part-time position, depending on the needs of the Blossom Bar Manager. If full-time, this position is not to exceed 40 hours each week or if a part-time position, this position is not to exceed 30 hours per week.

o Must have a Food Service Manager Certification completed within 90 days of hire.

o Must remain calm during high stress moments when under the pressure of multiple orders from customers
o Can maintain a clean and organized workspace, utilizing a “clean as you go” attitude.

o Prepare Grab & Go food items, ensuring product consistency and quality while minimizing food waste, before shipping out to the stores for sale.
o Must follow all establish policies and procedures for food prep, quality control, portion control, and safety.
o Must have a solid understanding of food safety knowledge.
o Must ensure recipes are followed accurately while maintaining quality control at all times.
o Ensure you are working in a safe and productive manner at all times.
o Able to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

This position will be required to lift up to 20 pounds often and 50 pounds rarely. This position will often be indoors in a climate-controlled environment. This position will be expected to work occasionally in a cooler and/or freezer. This position will be expected to stand and walk for long periods of time, to sit and squat or kneel occasionally, and to climb rarely.
