The Grab & Go Lead Cook oversees all operations of the Grab & Go Kitchen within Rainbow Blossom. The Grab & Go Lead Cook will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, including maintaining production schedules, staff training, supply ordering, scheduling, as well as open communication with the management within each store. The Grab & Go Lead Cook will be responsible for employee management within the Grab & Go department, including interviewing, hiring, and terminating Cooks, as well as holding Cooks accountable to expectations.

This position reports directly to the Food Service Manager. This is a full-time position, not to exceed 40 hours each week.

o Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
o 1+ years’ experience in food handling
o 1+ years’ experience in customer service
o Must have a Food Service Manager Certification completed within 90 days of hire

o Order supplies, as needed, to maintain an ongoing inventory, while projecting future needs for the department.
o Must ensure the Cooks follows all establish policies and procedures for food prep, quality control, portion control, and safety.
o Must have a solid understanding of food safety knowledge with the ability to teach and hold Cooks accountable if issues arise.
o Scheduling Cooks to ensure proper coverage every day to meet production schedule.
o Ensure Grab & Go items are completed properly and on time every day.
o Must ensure recipes are followed accurately while maintaining quality control at all times.
o Ensure Cooks are working in a safe and productive manner at all times.

This position will be required to lift up to 20 pounds often and 50 pounds rarely. This position will often be indoors in a climate-controlled environment. This position will be expected to work occasionally in a cooler and/or freezer. This position will be expected to stand and walk for long periods of time, to sit and squat or kneel occasionally, and to climb rarely.
