Summary

We have a current opportunity for a “Electrical Engineering Technician” located at our facility in Greenville, IN.
Responsibilities
Able to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of material.
Skilled in soldering, both, through hole and surface mount technology.
Skilled in building cable harnesses.
Skilled in solder stencil and solder paste application.
Familiar with ESD protection procedures.
Ability to hand place or use assisted pick and place apparatus to place SMT components, down to 0402 size.
Knowledge of conformal coating printed circuit board assemblies.
Able to identify electrical components and their proper use.
Build and test a wide variety of analog and digital circuits.
Operate test equipment used to measure performance characteristics of circuits, including digital meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, etc.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair to system, board, or component levels.
Assist in development and construct custom-designed electrical apparatus.
Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of assembly and engineering tests.
Perform preventive maintenance on electronics and electronic equipment; test, diagnose, adjust and calibrate to appropriate standards.
Develop inventory lists and order, stock and store electronic components such as, resistors, capacitors, circuit boards, inductors, connectors, cables, fuses, etc.
Communicate effectively in a computer-based environment.
Use word processing and spreadsheet software to prepare, present and share collected test data.

Ideal Experience
Two (2) years related experience and/or Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
Current IPC-JSTD-001 certification, or, must obtain this certification within 6 months of hire date.
US Citizen or Green Card holder (Visa sponsorship not accepted).

Desired Skills
IPC-J-STD-001 certification with Space addendum desired.
IPC-A-610 certification desired.
IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification with space addendum desired.
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering technology, desired.
