POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Associate Business Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and communicating requirements for approved small to medium projects or initiatives to the business owners and project team members. This position will comply with department best practices, processes, procedures, and standard methodologies to ensure all assigned project deliverables are high quality and cost effective and meet anticipated and agreed upon results. This role will continuously solicit feedback from the team members as well as the project team members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum one (1) year information technology experience preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in business analysis, systems installation, implementations, development, and/or quality assurance preferred.
• Successful completion of Business Analysis CCBA or CBAP Certification preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills required, including, but not limited to: Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate on multiple small to medium scale projects simultaneously using appropriate business analysis practices and methodologies to ensure customer needs are met.
• Conduct detailed research and review to define requirements and understand the purpose for which the project was initiated, ensuring the solution meets the need.
• Prepare detailed functional and technical requirements documentation acting as the liaison between the business and technology experts, leads team discussions, directs, and coordinates analysis activities to ensure deliverables are achieved on time and within scope.
• Assist in defining a business solution with the business and technical team based on approved business requirements, ensuring a complete understanding of the business problem.
• Ability to estimate solution costs and benefits; creates business case for communicating the solution for approval.
• Ability to create an open environment conducive to freely sharing information and ideas. Experienced in practicing active listening, interviewing, and facilitation and documentation techniques.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of baseline documentation and business rules for assigned areas and/or projects.
• Track progress of assigned tasks working with business and technical project team members. Works to resolve issues and ensure progress to task deliverables.
• Partner with various internal resources to provide ongoing troubleshooting and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage changes to requirements, facilitating approval and communicates changes across project teams.
• Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.

• Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required.
• No out-of-town travel is anticipated but may be required depending on competency and project assignments.
• Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings and weekends.
• Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
