The Commercial Processing Specialist is responsible for commercial loan submissions, the imaging of commercial documents as needed and the monitoring of the status of commercial loans originated by officers throughout the Bank. In addition, this position is cross trained to support commercial loan processing.

• Minimum of 2 years of banking experience with at least 1-year experience working in commercial lending or business banking support role required.
• Previous experience in identifying financial requirements, such as tax returns and personal financial statements for business loans involving commercial real estate, accounts receivable, inventory, and equipment preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, Word, and Windows skills; must be able to copy and work with files throughout the network.

• Review new loan applications for correct data input within the Commercial Loan Operating System.
• Review and verify that all supporting documents are collected, correctly uploaded, and are up to date for new loan applications.
• Prepare the loan application file for commercial loans, credit card submissions, annual credit reviews, and automated clearing house (ACH) requests for Commercial Credit and Underwriters, and forward completed application to the appropriate department.
• Attain proper financial documentation from officers prior to submission to the Credit Department or Underwriting Department.
• Review if tied real estate collateral is applicable for an appraisal revalidation.
• Review for proper Reg B Spousal Intent prior to credit submission.
• Monitor and maintain incomplete loan applications and the Notice of Incomplete process.
• Identify missing documentation or data and work with the appropriate parties to obtain all corrections.
• Coordinate and track loan submissions with the credit analysis department.
• Responsible for preparing all necessary reports for the department.
• Cross train within the commercial Quality Control department area position to support workflow where needed.
• Cross train to support team members when needed.
• Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
