The Portfolio Relationship Specialist is responsible for supporting Business Development Managers and Business Bankers with renewals, modifications, maturities, and small loan requests to help promote efficiency in outbound calling efforts. This is a developmental role designed to provide business banking/commercial exposure to candidates who show passion and interest in pursuing a career path as a business calling officer.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years previous retail sales experience or 2-years Republic Retail Banking experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a financial institution or loan office setting preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to sell and cross-sell bank products and services required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet applications.

• Collaborate and assist in credit memos, renewals, maturities, restructures, and new applications.
• Assist with all stages of loan applications for renewals, maturities, restructures, and new loans to support efficiency and gain an in-depth understanding of the credit process.
• Develop an internal network to effectively and efficiently navigate the credit process in support of providing a best-in-class experience for all clients.
• Manage and grow a dedicated portfolio as needed or assigned by working with product partners to suggest value add solutions.
• Assist Officers in various day-to-day portfolio relationship management/service tasks.
• Request, obtain, and analyze financial information (operating statements, rent roll, leases, title documents, etc) to support new requests and maintain current loan files.
• Develop an understanding of internal processes and intranet platforms as well as all commercial loan and deposit products.
• Perform both analytical and sometimes loan processing tasks.
• Develop a COI network by participating in business associations and business functions.
• Develop credit skill set to independently be able to ask the right questions, gather the appropriate information, and assess the opportunity.
• Develop client calling skills through joint calling with mentors and assigned officers.
• Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.

• Associates must be willing to commit to remaining in this role for a minimum of 18 months.
• Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings, weekends, and overtime.
