The JCPS Department of Diversity, Equity and Poverty is currently seeking currently employed JCPS Full-time teachers to serve as teacher and instructional assistant during Lit & Spring Break Program April 3rd-April 7th (Monday through Friday).
Teachers will:
- Assist in facilitating activities with students and community mentors.
- Attending a virtual or in-person meeting to review materials and resources
- Mentor and develop relationships with students facing barriers to education.
- Receive support and recognition from school and district administrators.
- Receive resources and instructional materials needed to utilize during the program.
- Have fun with students who may otherwise not have the opportunity to experience this type of programming!
Location: JCPS Schools
Compensation: Hourly
Dates: April 3rd – April 7th, 2023 (Monday through Friday)
Times: 8:30am – 2:30pm. Individuals selected must work the entire program
There is a required specific and compensated 2-hour PD after the normal workday on February 22nd from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in the LAM building (2nd floor).

Candidates for these positions will be reviewed as soon as possible to meet the critical needs for the program. Job Offers will be made to individuals who best meet programmatic needs. To ensure consistency for our students and to have a strong instructional leader in place the candidates for this position will be reviewed prior to the deadline date.
