Talis Group’s client is an international manufacturing company with a local corporate office in Southern Indiana. They are seeking to hire a Human Resource Assistant to assist with recruiting, benefits administration, new hire orientations, and also be a backup for the reception area. The hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with a hybrid schedule offered after initial 3 months (you can work from home 2 days a week.) Pay range is $22-$23/hour, with bonus potential & yearly performance raises. This also comes with full benefits, and generous time off – 4 weeks of paid time off in addition to 12 paid holidays annually. Highlighted Duties:
Serve as a backup for the Reception desk when needed.
Support the Manager, General Affairs, and HR processes with assigned tasks.
Post job ads, screen resumes, and schedule interviews.
Assist with hiring process, background & reference checks, orientations, and onboarding paperwork.
Set up new hires with designated log-in, workstation, email address, etc.
Maintain HR files, employee records, and benefit updates.
Track and report attendance records.
Ensure compliance through file audits & documentation management.
Maintain performance reviews and disciplinary action records.
Assist with payroll & benefits reconciliations.
Perform other tasks as needed or assigned.
Highlighted Requirements:
1-3 years of administrative or relevant experience.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management.
Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel proficiency required.
