A well-established mid-sized professional services firm is searching for an accounting leader to join their Lexington, KY team. The right person for this opportunity will have a dynamic approach with leading and encouraging a positive culture within the organization. Responsibilities include strategic planning, managing accounting/finance, human resources and the daily operations of the office. -Responsible for firm’s Accounting, Human Resources, IT vendor and Office Management
-Oversight of accounting (billing, AP, AR), monthly financial reporting/projections, taxes, maintaining –internal controls, policies and preparation/management of annual budget
-Manage administrative staff including new hire onboarding, training and performance reviews
-Compliance of all company policies and procedures as well as state and federal employment laws and regulations
-HR responsibilities include managing benefits and assisting with recruiting (administrative staff)
-Payroll processing for 50 employees (using on-line payroll service)
-Resolution of employee relations issues and concerns; work with managers/attorneys when needed
-Liaison with vendors and building management
-Work as a part of management team on firm strategic and marketing plans
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar required
-5+ years of professional services industry management experience including accounting and HR
-Staff management and development experience
-Ability to learn and implement software and technologies
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy needed to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks
-Exceptional customer service mindset
-Solutions driven problem solver
-A dynamic approach with leading and encouraging a positive culture within the organization
-A motivated and self-directed individual with the desire to roll up their sleeves and get the job done
-Excellent oral, written, listening, presentation, influence, and interpersonal skills
-Current knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
-Strong Excel and accounting software skills
