Talis Group’s client is a leading distributor of custom products with over 50 years’ experience with locations across the U.S. They are looking to add an Accounts Payable Clerk in their Corporate Louisville office to be responsible for coding invoices, resolving AP discrepancies, processing expense reports, updating the general ledger, processing checks, and other various accounting responsibilities. This is a Full Time, Direct Hire position that comes with an annual salary of $43k-$48k. This company also offers a generous benefit package, including health, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, Short-Term Disability, supplemental life insurance, and Paid Time Off. Hours are Monday-Friday 8-5 with the option to work 1-2 days remotely after training.

Highlighted Duties:
Match vendor invoices against Purchase Orders to resolve variances.
Experience with account coding for multiple locations and cost centers.
Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies.
Sort incoming AP mail while prioritizing according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
Review all invoices for correct documentation, approvals, and GL codes.
Process weekly check-run and prepare checks for mailing.
Maintain files and perform various accounting/admin tasks as needed or assigned.

Highlighted Requirements:
Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting preferred but not required.
Proficiency in ERP systems preferred but not required.
3+ years’ Accounts Payable experience with high volume processing.
Proficiency in Word and Excel
Data entry with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
