Talis Group’s client is a full-service law firm with practice in the areas of litigation, family law, probate, corporate and employment law that is located in the downtown Louisville area.  This highly reputable law firm is hiring a Billing Clerk to add to their accounting team to assist with data entry, accounts payables, accounts receivables as well as creating invoices and billing.  This is a Full Time, Direct Hire position.  Pay is $19-20/hour with a benefits package, which includes health, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan and Paid Time Off.  Hours are Monday-Friday 8-5, onsite.

Highlighted Duties:

Accurate, swift, and efficient data entry abilities.
Operate closely with other team members to certify data quality and consistency.
General Accounts Payable and Receivable functions (sending payments, receive payments, billing, accounting, receipts, etc.)
Record all client expenses as expenses in the designated billing software (Tabs3 software.)
Create invoices, applying payments, running credit cards, recording client’s payments, providing clients with copies of their invoices via mail and/or email correspondence.
Research and resolve billing issues.
Maintain electronic and hardcopy files.
Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards.
Perform other duties such as filing, mailings, and telephone communications.
Highlighted Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED required.
Previous experience in legal billing a plus but willing to train.
Prior experience handing cash and processing payments.
Proficiency using Excel and Word is required.
MUST type 45-50wpm.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
Ability to organize workflow and use time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attendance/punctuality.
