This top-rated law firm, named among the “Best Lawyers in America” numerous times. Our client is hiring a Human Resources Manager for either their Louisville or Lexington office.

The role of the Human Resources Manager is to run the daily functions of Human Resources (HR) for the firm, including participating in interviews for staff and attorneys, initiating payroll, administering benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role also provides support to the Accounting Department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

Coordinate all onboarding and termination activities for incoming and departing employees.
Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation using Paycor and NetDocuments.
Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refer more complex questions to appropriate parties.
Assist with payroll functions including processing, fixing timecard errors, and other duties as assigned.
Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors.
Conduct audits of payroll deductions for benefits providers and vendors.
Coordinate all new job postings, tracking applicants and helping facilitate interviews as requested by the hiring manager.
Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors; refer complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Conduct reporting activities as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system, and similar computer applications.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
