Talis Group’s client is a well-established heavy industrial facility with approximately 100 employees. They are committed to excellence in the industry and are seeking an experienced Inventory Coordinator to oversee the organization, control, and ordering of materials, spare parts, and equipment. Ensure that inventory levels are maintained, orders are placed, and records are accurate.

HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES

Monitor/maintain accurate inventory levels – ensure optimal stock is available for production requirements.
Do regular inventory audits
Coordinate with production departments to plan storeroom and determine MRO requirements
Identify slow-moving inventory and recommend appropriate actions
Inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders
Coordinate with suppliers regarding discrepancies or quality
Ensure proper storage and labeling of materials, following safety guidelines and regulations
Conduct regular maintenance and cleanliness inspections to ensure a safe and orderly storeroom.
Issues purchase orders as needed.
Data entry into the Sage ERP system.
Other duties as assigned

HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience in related field
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Detail-oriented and have excellent computer skills
Forklift certified
Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, practices, and procedures
Familiarity with inventory management software or systems
Ability to be “on call” at all hours; Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required.
