Talis Group’s company client is seeking a Legal Secretary for our Louisville, Kentucky office to join a team of attorneys in its Labor and Employment Practice Group. This is an ideal position for a candidate who has assisted with general office and administration tasks in support of attorneys. This position is full time and offers a competitive salary and benefits package such as 401(k), paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances as well as paid parking downtown Louisville.


Highlighted Duties:

Processing/scanning mail. Routine updates to and/or forwarding of materials to clients.
New file set up and intake
Drafting form documents for attorney’s review
Organizing and maintaining both electronic and paper files. Handling electronic filing and serving of legal documents.
Editing billing
Oral and written communications with a variety of entities, including clients, courts, opposing counsel, vendors, government agencies, etc.
Docketing and managing deadlines, scheduling, tracking discovery, and calendaring
Making travel arrangements and completing expense reports
Maintaining attorney CLE files

Highlighted Requirements:
4+ years of working in a legal office setting; labor & employment a plus, to include drafting legal documents, managing dockets/ calendars for attorneys.
Familiar/proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Professional references required for consideration.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with focus on rapport-building and listening
