Talis Group’s client is a fast growing regional law firm with multiple office locations. They have a well established and growing practice in the Southern Indiana area. This firm has a great reputation among its customers and primarily works in the areas of Business Litigation, Insurance Defense, Government Litigation and some Real Estate Litigation. Position will support several Partners in the Indiana office. Highlighted Duties:

Handling litigation caseload from inception to completion
Assist with complex litigation cases
Assist with the defense of injury litigation, contract litigation as well as a variety of issues for government clients
Assist with insurance coverage disputes by providing legal opinions and managing related litigation
Advise clients concerning their claims or defense of claims, legal rights and obligations.
Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for clients
Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
Study Constitution, statutes, decisions, regulations, and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies to determine ramifications for cases.
Prepare and draft legal documents including briefs and opinions
Negotiate settlements and mediations
Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
Communicate with clients and provide status reports

Highlighted Requirements:

J.D. from an accredited law school
3+ years of experience in Litigation in State and Federal courts
Licensed to practice in Indiana or UBE score high enough to transfer
Effective communication, research, negotiation and reasoning skills.
Experience with administrative hearings, court hearings and arbitrations
Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills
