Talis Group’s client is a distinguished mid-sized Litigation Defense firm in Louisville, KY with extensive Trial success. This premier law firm is hiring an Associate Attorney with Litigation Defense experience to join their team. The position will focus in the areas of Insurance Defense, Products Liability, Premises Liability, and Construction Litigation. Firm offers full benefits, including 401K match, long-term disability, all bar and continuing education fees and billable hour incentives. Enjoy work flexibility and a supportive team environment. Typically incentives start at 1800 billables.

Highlighted Duties

Manage cases from inception to resolution.
Advise clients on defense strategies, legal rights, and obligations.
Stay updated on and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.
Develop strategies and arguments for case presentations.
Gather evidence through witness interviews, depositions, and discovery.
Prepare and draft legal documents including briefs and opinions.
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation.
Handle court appearances and depositions.
Maintain regular communication with clients and provide status reports.

Highlighted Requirements:

J.D. from an accredited law school
5+ years of Litigation experience
Trial experience preferred
MUST have license to practice in Kentucky and in good standing
Effective communication, research, negotiation and reasoning skills.
Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills
