Talis Group’s client is the leading manufacturer of Calcium Carbide (widely used as a desulfurization reagent for treating liquid metal in iron foundries and steel plants.) They need a Production Supervisor or Manager (2 nd or 3 rd shift ) for their Louisville, KY facility. The successful candidate for this key position will be a strong people leader preferably from a heavy industrial environment . The salary range is $75 – $100K ( based on experience and role) plus full benefits package, including 401K. If the job description below describes you, APPLY TODAY!


Typically a 40 hours/week; 2nd or 3rd shift
Supervise, train and monitor production workers
Collaborate with other managers on best practices
Monitor processes and product to ensure proper standards compliance
Maintain product inventory and ensure on-time customer delivery
Investigate, document safety incidents
Communicate with other departments and shifts
Monitor and enforce Quality Management Systems and proper documentation
Maintain schedule and payroll records for employees and enter data into system
Responsible for monitoring, assisting and making O/T decisions for other departments on off-shift.
Strive for a safe work environment


Minimum 5 years related manufacturing supervisor experience
Heavy industrial experience a plus
Proven track record of successfully providing direction and developing cohesive teams
Possess the ability to inspire and mentor while utilizing internal and external partners
Must have strong communication and organizational skills
Union experience is a plus
