A Talis Group client is seeking to hire a Customer Quality Engineer . This is a ‘direct hire’ position.

Talis Group’s client is a growing Automotive Tier I manufacturer with multiple plants across the U.S. They are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to serve as a liaison between the customer and production to ensure the customers specifications and quality standards are met. This is a fast-paced environment with good benefit package and excellent salary.



Evaluate product requirements to ensure customer specifications and quality requirements are met
Customer contact for all quality related issues; travel to customers as needed
Coordinate problem-solving activities related to customer concerns customer rejects and warranty returns
Coordinate customer PPAP submissions
Monitor production and update customers regarding the status of quality issues or any requests
Assist in new product development to avoid quality issues
Follow procedures for IATF 16949/ISO 14001:2015
Manage and coordinate ISO audits
Identify and propose cost reduction /avoidance ideas and product, efficiency and quality improvements
Monitor Customer Scorecards


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering related field
5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment
Must have knowledge of Ford and GM PPAP Systems
Supervisory experience preferred
Have or be willing to work toward ASQ CQE certification
Read and interpret blueprints
Effective working knowledge of quality assurance concepts, methods and procedures
Motivated, self-starter with strong people and communication skills
Travel as required
