Talis Group’s client is a leader in the legal industry representing corporations, financial institutions, and governmental entities. Our client is hiring an Information Governance Supervisor for their Louisville, Kentucky office.

This position will be responsible for supporting Records Management policies and procedures. Under the direction of the Sr. IG Compliance Manager, will supervise IG Compliance personnel, client file transfers, client file imports, records retention, legal holds, and provide technical expertise related to electronic discovery projects and electronic mail review.

Highlighted Duties:

Supervise training and evaluation, along with hiring, counseling, and termination, in collaboration with the Sr. Information Governance Compliance Manager.  Develop and provide training programs to maximize staff skills and knowledge.
Evaluate current records systems for completeness, efficiency, and usefulness by taking inventories and reviewing information retrieval needs. Contribute ongoing analysis and requirements specific to the maintenance of the Information Governance framework (policy and procedures).
Develop goals and objectives for the Information Governance Compliance team in conjunction with IG strategic planning.
Develop, implement, and manage systems and procedures for the timely transfer of client/matter records to clients or outside counsel and records disposition.
Understand all aspects of the Firm’s IG Policy and be able to articulate relative obligations to Firm stakeholders.
Ensure controls are in place over applications to ensure the data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis.
Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with business owners and I.T.
Develop and maintain documentation of procedures.
Operate under tight deadlines, carrying out multiple related activities simultaneously and prioritizing tasks appropriately.
Generate complex queries through Exchange PowerShell, Multi-mailbox search and Outlook search and provide requested data and reports to senior management.
Adapt new technologies and processes as required to meet ongoing deliverable requirements of this position.

Highlighted Requirements:

Five years’ experience working in a supervisory/managerial position. Three years’ experience working for a law firm.
Solid experience with industry best practices for electronic and physical data retention and organization.
Proven track record of successfully supervising, developing, and training staff.
Proficiency with Windows technology.
Experience with and ability to handle print and electronic collections.
Strong technical skills relevant to IG management systems (RMS/DMS), including areas specific to data mapping, data conversion; document properties and metadata management (classification, coding, and security); and data protection, privacy and business confidentiality.
Experience coordinating the implementation of new technologies.
Strong project management skills.
Experience with one or more RIM enterprise technology solutions used for the management of both physical and electronic information, e.g. Autonomy iRM, HP WRM, ARM, FileSurf, LegalKey.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Document Management System (iManage) and Records Management Systems (RMS) required.
Strong analytical and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Intermediate facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure.
Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision or questions.
Ability to deal effectively with others and work effectively in high or moderate stress and fast-paced situations.
Able to work under high pressure, deadline sensitive situations.
High productivity, accuracy and turnaround required.
