Talis Group’s client is a large company seeking a Vice President of Accounting & Finance to join their team. This position has a strong multi-level team of support and a generous leadership group. This position will not only have primary responsibilities over the financial functions of the entire company but also be responsible for such duties as investment and debt management, budgeting, long range forecasting and procurement activities. This position is part of the Executive Team.
The annual salary is $200k- $225k + bonus potential for excellent relevant experience. A hybrid work schedule typically working 40 hours per week and an exceptional comprehensive benefits package is included. Highlighted Duties:
Supervise an Accounting team of 15+ members
Handle financial statement preparation and filings required by statue or covenant
Ensure GAAP compliance with all applicable accounting standards, bond covenants and IRS regulations
Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial statement closes
Maintain treasury management and investment techniques
Provide guidance to staff in the procurement of materials and services, Accounts Payable, Payroll and other accounting functions
Prepare and execute annual Budgeting and forecasting
Maintain technical financial reporting system with GAAP controls and standards
Coordinate activities for annual reviews and audits
Prepare and present monthly financial statements to the Board and be able to present complex financial topics
Direct the review for all assets and liabilities
Assume role in the overall strategic direction of the company
Responsible for the annual audit
Serve as liaison in regards to bond issuance to all included parties including the Louisville Metro Revenue Commission
Manage multiple priorities and maintain ability to meet deadlines consistently
Leadership in business process improvements
Ability to train, supervise and delegate tasks
Highlighted Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
8+ years progressive management level experience in accounting/ finance
Prove ability to lead a team through monthly closings and financial statements
Minimum 3+ years Executive level experience, 5 years preferred
Prefer CPA and/ or MBA
Strong financial analysis skills
