Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to make an impact at a dynamic company?  Talis Group’s client is a prominent leader in the transportation industry located in Shelbyville, KY.  They are seeking a talented & motivated Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is crucial to ensuring accurate financial processes & reports while collaborating with various departments.  This is a full-time, direct hire role that will report to the Controller.  Salary range is $55-65k, with full benefits, paid holidays, and paid time off.  Hours are Mon-Friday, 8-5, onsite (NO remote option available.)

Highlighted Duties:

Accounts Receivable: Process all AR invoices for contract, milestone, and Time & Material jobs.  Submit invoices to various customer websites for payment. Create monthly intercompany AR invoices.
Account Payable: Manage AP invoices and payments.
Payroll Support: Backup support for biweekly payroll (multi-state) using ADP Workforce Now for over 100 employees (some union but not the majority.)
Import and create journal entries into Sage Intacct.
Reconcile monthly benefits expenses, including medical and 401(k)
Handled ACHs, wires, and daily banking activities.
Participate in the annual 401(k) audit.
Highlighted Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred.
2+ years of recent, progressive accounting experience required.
Must understand and follow GAAP principles.
Experience with Sage Intacct software and ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.
Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with other departments.
