Transit Authority of River City

Transit Authority of River City (TARC) is seeking a professional, energetic and detail-oriented employee.  This position will provide support the work of the Finance Department through administrative and accounting duties that assist/support overall departmental functions.

Duties Include:

Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Prepare and enter monthly journal entries
Assist with internal reviews and audits
Assist and support accounts payable/receivables transactions


Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Accounting or related field; and three years of verifiable experience working with Excel and/or data analytics; or any combination of training, education and experience in payroll, bookkeeping or accounting may be substituted when competency in the position is demonstrated.
Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and timelines
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Excellent analytical and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are essential.
Intermediate to advanced skills using database applications, including Excel.
Must be able to demonstrate analytical reasoning, critical thinking, as well as a high level of customer orientation.
Must be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
Must be able to work  some after hours and weekends, as needed.
