Lawson Company Auctioneers is seeking a dependable, motivated, and flexible team member to join our auction crew. This position combines auction setup, cataloging, and equipment yard operations—perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, technology, and helping every auction run smoothly from start to finish. No auction license required; however, if desired, we can assist you in earning your apprentice auctioneer license — training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with auction setup, loadouts, and tagging items for photos and online listings
• Help catalog and photograph auction items using company software and online systems
• Enter data, edit photos, and ensure item descriptions are accurate and professional
• Safely operate skid steers, forklifts, tractors, or telehandlers as needed
• Keep the yard, warehouse, and staging areas clean, organized, and safe
• Perform light maintenance, lawn care, or assembly work as needed
• Move furniture, estates, and personal property for auction setup or removal
• Support online auction pickups, previews, and cataloging
• Provide customer service and loadout assistance during live or online auctions
• Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency, organization, and presentation
Requirements:
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
• Basic computer skills; ability to use email, Excel, Word, and cataloging software (training provided)
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
Preferred (not required):
• Experience operating skid steers, forklifts, or telehandlers
• Light mechanical or maintenance background
• Familiarity with online auction platforms or photography
• Experience in an auction, farm, or construction environment
Physical Activity & Work Conditions:
Active, outdoor position involving regular standing, walking, bending, lifting, and equipment operation in various
weather conditions. Some extended hours may be required before or after auction events.
Compensation:
$18 per hour
