Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med Surg) – Kentucky
Start Date: January 19, 2026
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 36 guaranteed hours per week | Every third weekend required (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | No call
Highlights:
- Work in a nationally recognized rehabilitation institute specializing in acute care and rehabilitation services
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 on a 10-bed adult medical-surgical unit with mixed acuity
- Gain experience with ventilators, tracheostomy care, G-tubes, tube feeding, and negative pressure wound therapy
- Utilize advanced equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Hoyer lifts, Kangaroo pumps, and suction devices
- Work with dual EMR systems: Cerner and ITW
- Opportunities to float to other units within the facility to broaden clinical skills
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Kentucky or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications
- Demonstrated experience with tracheostomy care, G-tube management, and ventilator support
- Medical-surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
- Current flu vaccination required
