Map and Compass Basics

Using a map and compass are essential skills for anyone that enjoys the outdoors. In this introductory course, participants will learn to read topographical maps and discover just a few of the many functions of a compass. Come ready to explore as we go through the parts and functions of maps and compasses and learn how they can work together! No batteries are required!

Program meets in the Horine Reservation main parking lot.
