Bookkeeper / Accountant / Tax Preparer

We are a growing, fifty-year-old boutique tax and accounting firm looking for an experienced tax professional who enjoys public accounting but does not want the culture of a large firm. We focus on tax preparation, bookkeeping, accounting, tax planning, and advisory services for individuals and closely held businesses. Our clients range from individuals and small businesses to more complex partnerships, S corporations, trusts, estates, and multi-state tax situations. What You Would Be Doing

• Preparing and reviewing:
• Individual returns (1040)
• Business returns (1120S, 1065, 1120)
• Trust and estate returns (1041) are a plus
• Managing and reviewing client bookkeeping
• Working extensively in QuickBooks Online
• Reviewing financial statements and cleaning up client books
• Assisting clients with accounting and bookkeeping questions
• Tax planning and projections
• Working directly with clients to gather information and solve problems
• Helping troubleshoot accounting and tax issues throughout the year

Experience We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of recent public accounting experience
• Strong tax preparation experience for individuals and businesses
• Strong bookkeeping and accounting experience required
• Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online required
• Experience with Lacerte preferred
• Ability to independently manage both tax and bookkeeping clients
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
