Housing Monitor and Security Safety Officer- 2nd Shift

Full time - 2nd Shift Mon-Fri: 3:30PM to 12:00AM (Midnight) $17.50 Hourly - Biweekly This role monitors the behavior and activities of clients participating in a Salvation Army emergency housing program; guards the safety of Salvation Army facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with shelter rules and policies and to protect the safety of staff and clients. Key responsibilities:

• Monitors the behavior and activities of clients.
• Ensures compliance with shelter rules and policies.
• Provides safety for guests, staff, and building.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light (less than 25 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Light mobility: duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting. Work is usually performed in a housing shelter environment where there are some physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors. What We Are Looking For in YOU EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required; and six months' experience working with the public. Experience working in a security or social service environment preferred; or Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
